Unionists Join Naga Rally, Suggest Widening of Strike

Representatives from 10 unions and labor groups encouraged NagaWorld casino protesters during a rally in Phnom Penh on Tuesday, as a union federation leader said her members — largely in the garment sector — could join the strike if there was still no solution after two weeks.

Gov’t Clears Kandal Residents’ Land for Canal, Road

Around 40 families in Kandal province said the government had cleared their farmland without any notice or compensation, with a local official saying the land will be used to construct a canal and dirt road.
