Investigation Refutes Police Explanations of Alleged Torture Death

An Interior Ministry investigation refuted a string of Battambang police explanations of an alleged torture death — first that the detainee was beaten by villagers, then that he had a traffic accident, and third that he died from a drug overdose.

10 Dead, 25,000 Houses Damaged in Floods; Storm Warnings Continue

Ten people, including three children, have died in floods that have damaged almost 25,000 houses and 84,000 hectares of rice and other crops, according to disaster management authorities, as 1,000 emergency personnel prepare rescue boats and other supplies in anticipation of further storms this week.

Woman Confirmed With Covid-19 Two Weeks After Arriving From US

A 33-year-old Cambodian woman was confirmed to have Covid-19 while in self-quarantine in Battambang two weeks after arriving from the U.S., and was in contact with at least seven people before testing positive, the Health Ministry announced Friday morning.
