Australian MP Renews Call for Sanctions Over Kem Ley

Australia should impose targeted sanctions on Cambodia if it refuses to undertake an independent inquiry into the suspected assassination of political commentator Kem Ley, an Australian opposition MP, Julian Hill, said over the weekend.

UPDATED 7:22 p.m. — The Phnom Penh Municipal Court charged activist Kung Raiya with incitement to commit a felony today for printing T-shirts with murdered political analyst Kem Ley’s image and words.
