Three hundred Tuol Sangke market vendors gathered outside the Interior Ministry this week to support three fellow vendors who were being questioned for alleged incitement for protesting new market rental rates.
More than 200 families are refusing to leave their homes along the Tonle Sap river in Russei Keo district, saying they would be willing to relocate only if authorities provide fair compensation.
The Candlelight Party has accused a Russei Keo commune chief of tearing down a party banner in the capital, with the officials claiming the billboard was erected on state land. Separately, the Candlelight Party’s provincial head in Pailin received a second court summons for incitement — part of two cases being pursued against him since last month.
