A district official in Phnom Penh has been suspended six months without pay for beating a street recycler. A Cambodian soldier was arrested in Thailand’s Sa Kaeo province for allegedly driving illegally into Thailand and using weapons.

40 Thais Removed From Kandal River-Escape Casino

Fifty-nine Thais were removed from scam operations in Cambodia in simultaneous raids on two compounds this week — including 40 from the Kandal facility where Vietnamese nationals last month made a dramatic escape swimming across a river, Thai police said Friday.

Who Is Wanchalearm?

He worked for the current Bangkok governor and was photographed with an ousted Thai premier and a current Phnom Penh deputy governor. Missing since 2020, Wanchalearm Satsaksit also helped other Thai dissidents flee to Cambodia. But his associates have sought to erase all ties.

Scammed: Duped, Then Ridiculed, Victims in Thailand Left Helpless

Chinese Embassy Tells of Ransom, Rescues From Scam Syndicates
