Village Chief Removed for Taking Disabled Woman’s IDPoor Cash

A Kampong Thom province village chief has been removed after allegedly taking a woman’s IDPoor payments over several months, one of more than 14,000 irregularities authorities have found since June in the country’s anti-poverty program that was expanded amid the global pandemic.

Soldier Dies by Suicide After Car, Bought With Debt, Confiscated

The finance and defense ministries are looking into the case of a Banteay Meanchey province soldier who died by suicide after his car, which he used for work, and which put him thousands of dollars in debt, was confiscated by the customs and excise department.
