A former singer at Phnom Penh’s infamous Rock Entertainment nightclub has been charged with financial crimes and could face years in jail over a tong tin savings scheme she claims went awry.
Kith Theang, the brother of tycoon Kith Meng, was absent from a new drug trial at the Phnom Penh Municipal Court on Wednesday, with a prisons official saying Theang was in hospital.
A day after police arrested the owner of the Rock Entertainment Center, Kith Theang, over a recent 50 kilogram drug bust, Interior Minister Sar Kheng on Monday ordered the nation’s police forces to improve their efficiency in stamping out the trade and use of drugs.
