Nearly 800 passengers of a cruise ship that docked in Cambodia after other countries turned it away over coronavirus fears have tested negative for the virus, the Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
Nearly 1,000 people remaining aboard a cruise ship docked in Sihanoukville will be tested for the novel coronavirus, after more than 1,200 disembarked last week, including a woman who tested positive for the virus in Malaysia, an official said.
Prime Minister Hun Sen on Friday linked his decision to let a luxury cruise ship dock in Cambodia, after it had been turned away by other nations due to coronavirus fears, with the nation’s commitment to human rights, just days after the E.U. withdrew trade benefits over rights violations.
