Select Public Schools to Reopen After Six-Month Covid-19 Closure

The Education Ministry will allow grade 9 and 12 students from one public high school in Phnom Penh, and students across four provinces deemed “low-risk” for Covid-19 transmission, to head back to classrooms in just over a week, following six months of shuttered schools.

Schools Shut, Travel Advisory Issued as Covid-19 Cases Reach 12

The government on Monday ordered all schools shut nationwide until further notice, and advised citizens not to travel to several countries due to coronavirus fears, as Cambodia reported five more Covid-19 cases over the weekend, all people who recently entered the country from abroad.

Japan Donates $3M for Canned-Fish School Breakfasts

About 415 tons of Japanese canned fish will be bought for schoolchildren’s breakfasts in five provinces using a $3-million Japanese grant disbursed via the U.N. World Food Programme, the organization announced on Thursday.
