Sihanoukville Denies Communities’ Request to Rally on Human Rights Day

The Preah Sihanouk provincial administration rejected a request from land dispute communities to hold a rally in Sihanoukville to mark International Human Rights Day on Tuesday, with a spokesman explaining that the communities are already given three days a year to air their concerns.

Activist Kung Raiya Released on Bail

Dissident Kung Raiya, who faces up to two years in prison on charges related to his printing of T-shirts with murdered political analyst Kem Ley’s image and words, will be released on bail, a court spokesman and his lawyer said on Friday.
